DESHNA CHITTURI

Deshna Chitturi is a 16 year-old Touring and Session bassist from Coimbatore, India. Born to an Andhra father, Arun Chitturi, and a Keralite mother, Rincy Joseph, Deshna moved to Coimbatore at the age of five. She discovered her passion for music at the age of eleven under the guidance of her guitarist father Arun Chitturi. At just 16 years old, Deshna Chitturi has emerged as one of India's most promising young bassists. Known for her technical precision, energetic stage presence, and genre-blending musical style, she is redefining the role of the bass guitar in contemporary Indian music while inspiring a new generation of musicians. She has toured with renowned Indian music composer MR. Thaman S on the Indian leg of the most prestigious OG Tour.

“Bassline to the Beyond” is the debut single from Deshna Chitturi. The track fuses explosive slap bass, intricate tapping, and the dramatic flair of the raga Pantuvarali, creating a fearless mix of Indian classical and modern bass virtuosity. Inspired by the concept of “Rage of Raga,” Deshna showcases raw power, bold technique, and a fresh global fusion sound. The track has been praised as both a technical and artistic breakthrough.

As an official Sadowsky artist, she performs using the Sadowsky MetroExpress 24-Fret Modern 5-String Bass. This association reflects her passion for music, dedication to her craft, and growing recognition on the international stage.
